  1. In a large bowl, mix mince, cheese, herbs, onion, egg, breadcrumbs and sauce.
  2. Make into 8 even-sized hamburger patties.
  3. Spray a non-stick pan with a little cooking oil, or heat a BBQ grill.
  4. Cook hamburgers for about 7 minutes on each side until cooked (burgers are cooked when juices run clear and they are no longer pink in the middle). Cook on a moderate heat so they don't burn on the outside before they cook on the inside.
  5. Serve burgers on toasted hamburger buns with salad, grated carrot, sliced beetroot and burger sauce.

FAQs

What is the best cheese for burgers?

Tasty cheese is most common because most cheddars are mild enough and cheesy enough to add a nice cheese flavour.

Is there an alternative to hamburger buns?

Yes! You can use virtually any bread you would like! Try an English muffin, sliced bread, or even no bun for a lower calorie option!
